I am traveling to Morocco with a 4 year old and a 16 months old in August. Travelocity told me to call the airline itself. There are hundreds of arilines. How do I find this out? Has anyone heard or got a discount? If so, what airline did you fly? We are traveling from Portland,OR to Tangier, Morocco. So far the tickets seem to be $1500 per adult. Do they get any cheaper? Thanks for any info.

Its policy for all airlines to give discounts for infants and children… it is. But this doesn’t mean you will be saving more this way.
infants (0-2yrs) pay only 10% of their regular rates, he won’t have his own seat but you will be given a seat on the front row and a bassinet will be attached during the flight.
children (2-11yrs) pay 50% of regular rates. they’ll have their own seat and their own baggage allowance.
The thing is the rates quoted to you may be discounted or promotional rates, and the child fare is based on their own regular rates (For example, the fares may be $2000 but on promo is 1500, the child discount will be based on the 2000 and not on the promo rates.)
Try going directly to the airlines websites and all the info will be there. Try British air or United instead of travelocity.
Also try travelzoo.com and shermanstravel.com for good deals. You might even save more here than going after child fares.
But in any case, all airlines do have child fares and infant fares.
Contrary to the previous answer, it is absolutely NOT the case that all airlines offer standarized discount fares for children. Many airlines charge full fare for children, others have various discounts, and the international policies are often different than the domestic ones. Most airlines allow children under 2 to fly for free if they sit in their parent’s lap and don’t occupy a seat, but for a long flight that wouldn’t be ideal, and it may not be allowed on an international flight even if you wanted to.
You don’t need to check all the airlines - just the few that had the lowest fares on the travel sites. I would check maybe the first five. If the adult fare is significantly higher, there’s a point at which it doesn’t matter how much of a discount you can get on the kids’ tickets. Even if you only pay 50% per kid, if the adult fare is twice as much, you still end up paying more than you would buying three full-price tickets on the cheaper airline.
umm there is no difference in price between adults and kids they all take one seat do they not/ they would lose a profit so there is no difference.
